With visibility near zero, it wasn't uncommon for the North Dakota Highway Patrol to answer calls of cars in the ditch.

But one case stands out for Sergeant Troy Hischer.

The Fargo-based officer responded to a call of a car going the wrong way on I-94 west of West Fargo Monday morning.

A woman was headed west in the eastbound lane.

Given the hour of the day, just before 10am, Hischer was a bit surprised to find that the woman was drunk.

The 37 year-old Fergus Falls area woman was stuck in the median.

Hischer says her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the limit for driving.

She told him that she was headed to Idaho.

She was arrested and booked into Cass County Jail.
