Disabled Vet Pleads Guilty To Marijuana Charges

A disabled veteran accused of possessing marijuana while he was a patient at the Fargo V-A Hospital has reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors.

Robert Burdick of Montpelier, ND will plead guilty, pay a $100 fine and a $10 special assessment.

Richard Henderson of the federal public defender's office in Fargo says the fine could have been as high as $500.

Charges were filed after a nurse spotted the contraband and turned it over to V-A police.
