More oil is being shipped by rail out of North Dakota.
Justin Kringstad of the North Dakota Pipeline Authority says in December, 64 percent of Bakken crude was being shipped by rail.
Kringstad says the advantage of using rail is that shippers can choose to get the oil to markets that pipelines can’t reach.
