The bitter cold created some troubles for water pipes.

On Christmas Day, Fargo Firefighters were called to a commercial building at 2503 5th Ave. S. where a sprinkler pipe on the second floor froze and broke.

Water was pouring out of the storage building's doors and windows when crews arrived. It caused a significant amount of water damage to equipment inside and to the building.

Firefighters worked fast to mop up the water before it froze.
