Larimore Getting $300,000 Wellness Center

The northeastern North Dakota city of Larimore is getting a community wellness center.

LARIMORE, N.D. (AP) - The northeastern North Dakota city of Larimore is getting a community wellness center.

The 1,700-square-foot addition to the Good Samaritan Society nursing home will have exercise, cardiovascular and rehabilitation equipment.

The idea grew out of a 2010 survey in the community of 1,300 people west of Grand Forks.

The community has raised more than $300,000 for the project.

The center could open as early as next September.
