New Parking Restrictions Designed To Expedite Snow Removal

New winter parking restrictions are in effect in Moorhead. The city has established a special “Snow Removal District” that limits parking to “odd” or “even” sides of the street when a snow removal declaration is issued.

City Councilman Mark Altenburg says the new rules apply to several square blocks near MSUM and Concordia College.

When a declaration is issued, parking is not allowed on the "even" side of the street during day two. On day three, parking will be banned on the "odd" side of the street.

All affected blocks are posted with special signs. Vehicles in violation will be towed.
