Klobuchar, Hoeven Promote Metal Theft Legislation

Senator Amy Klobuchar was in Moorhead to promote a bill designed to a stop a rash of copper and metal thefts.

The "Metals Theft and Prevention Act" would make it a federal crime to steal metal from critical infrastructure. Klobuchar says the problem is a national epidemic.

Klobuchar was joined by Senator John Hoeven and area law enforcement leaders. The bill is expected to receive strong bi-partisan support.
