PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A campaign official for former South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds says the Republican candidate has raised more than $250,000 in the first month of his U.S. Senate campaign.
Staff member Jason Glodt says that Rounds raised all of the money by the end of the year after announcing his bid in November.
Rounds is running for the Senate seat held by Democratic incumbent U.S. Senator Tim Johnson.
Johnson has not said whether he will run for re-election in 2014.
