Two Men Plead Not Guilty In Death Of Bismarck Man

Two Mandan men have pleaded not guilty in the October death of a 30-year-old Bismarck man.

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Two Mandan men have pleaded not guilty in the October death of a 30-year-old Bismarck man.

Thirty-four-year-old Christopher Vernon and 28-year-old Joseph Houle are charged with felony reckless endangerment for their roles in the death of Derek Oshkeshequoam .

The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

Authorities say two men brought Oshkeshequoam to the hospital in a wheelchair on Oct. 28 and then left. Oshkeshequoam had head injuries and was unable to speak, and later died from the injuries

Twenty-three-year-old Colten Towry has been charged with felony manslaughter in the case.

Vernon and Houle are scheduled to be back in court on April 8.
