Gas Prices Up Sharply

Gas prices are on the rise again.

 

 

 

 

Gas prices are on the rise again.

Minnesota's statewide average is $3.35 a gallon, just three weeks after the price was less than $3.00 a gallon.

AAA-Minnesota's Gail Weinholzer says crude oil prices have increased dramatically, plus half-a-dozen refineries have repair issues.

Weinholzer says two of those in the Chicago area feed a lot of their fuel into Minnesota.

Weinholzer adds the gas Minnesota is getting from Canada is more expensive than fuel from the Gulf of Mexico.

She expects prices to begin falling once all the refineries are back up and running.
