Life In Prison For Jamestown Man Convicted Of Murdering Somali Immigrant

A Jamestown man convicted of murdering an 18-year-old Somali immigrant has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

 

 

 

 

A Jamestown man convicted of murdering an 18-year-old Somali immigrant has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Leron Howard was sentenced in Stutsman County Court for the beating and stabbing death of Abdi Ahmed, whose body was found in a ditch near Spiritwood in April of 2011. Howard's attorney, Steve Mottinger, says he plans to appeal the sentence.

Co-defendant Janelle Cave was sentenced earlier to 11-years in prison.
