Some Fargo doctors are speaking out against legislation that says a fertilized egg is a human being.

The North Dakota house is considering two "personhood" bills this week. One of them would amend the state constitution. If the measures are approved, Dr. Steffen Christensen says it could mean the end of in vitro fertilization.

Doctors say the "personhood" bills are "even more extreme" than two measures passed last week that would prohibit most abortions when a fetal heartbeat is detected, or abortions based on genetic abnormalities.
