BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota's darkhouse spearfishing season opens on most state waters this weekend.
The state Game and Fish Department says the season runs from Saturday through mid-March. Legal fish are northern pike and nongame species.
Darkhouse spearfishing is allowed for all residents with a valid fishing license and for residents under the age of 16. But all participants must register first with Game and Fish.
