The Senate is discussing and voting on several Republican budget resolutions on Wednesday.

Senate Budget Chairman Kent Conrad argued that last year's debt limit agreement has set spending levels for Congress so there is no need for a budget resolution this year.

Conrad is warning there will be some extreme proposals.

"Plans to eliminate Medicare in two years, plans to cut Social Security benefits by 39 percent, plans to have trillions of dollars of additional tax cuts for he wealthiest among us; we're going to see, from some of my colleagues on the other side, truly extreme plans," said Conrad.

There are at least five Republican budget proposals including the Ryan and Sessions budgets and another from Paul Rand.
