Teenage Hunters Found Safe After Being Lost In NW Minn.

Three hunters from Thief River Falls were found safe after being lost for more than 14 hours in a wildlife management area in northwest Minnesota.

Three hunters from Thief River Falls were found safe after being lost for more than 14 hours in a wildlife management area in northwestern Minnesota.

The hunters, who's ages are 17 and 18, were found late Saturday night.

The two hunters were found seven hours after the Marshall County Sheriff's Department recieved a 911 call from them saying they had been lost since Saturday morning. They were able to give their approximate location, about 18 miles west of Grygla, before the phone went dead.

Sheriff John Novacek says deputies were assisted in the search by: Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Border Patrol, Goodridge Fire and Rescue, the boys parents, volunteers, the state patrol and the Sheriff's Department Horse Posse.
