Bismarck, N.D. (AP) - Officials have increased the maximum loan allowed by North Dakota Housing Finance Agency home ownership programs.

The North Dakota Industrial Commission says the increase is in response to rising housing costs. The new purchase price limit of $250,000 is up $13,000 from the previous limit that was set in 2006.

The change affects Housing Finance Agency programs that offer reduced interest rate mortgage loans to first-time homebuyers and special needs households.
