Man Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop

A man was arrested on multiple charges after fleeing a traffic stop in Moorhead on Wednesday.

 

 

 

 

A man was arrested on multiple charges after fleeing a traffic stop in Moorhead on Wednesday.

State Patrol Sergeant Mark Herbranson, who had recently received an award for being the patrol's top seatbelt enforcer, stopped a vehicle because he noticed the passenger wasn't wearing a seatbelt. The passenger then took off running.

Brian Jones, 25, of Bayport, Minn. was arrested a short time later for fleeing, false name and date of birth, and no seatbelt. Jones was also wanted on a parole violation.
