HURON, S.D. (AP) - People taking in the South Dakota State Fair over the Labor Day weekend can expect hot weather but generally fair skies.
The fair began its five-day run in Huron on Thursday. Officials are hoping to see attendance hit 200,000, after 191,000 people took in last year's fair.
Kyle Weisser with the National Weather Service says that fairgoers are in for some nice late-summer weather. He says high temperatures will linger in the 90s through the weekend, but storms aren't expected to be much of a problem.
