JAMESTOWN, N.D. - A man who was shot multiple times by police two years ago in Jamestown is suing the city, three officers and the police department.
A federal lawsuit filed by Michael Partlow claims the officers used excessive force while responding to a call involving an armed man threatening suicide. The lawsuit says the officers yelled at Partlow and opened fire while he was bending down to place his gun on the ground.
Court documents say Partlow lost an eye and suffered injuries to his face, hands and a leg. He is seeking damages in excess of $75,000.
