ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - An Aberdeen woman charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing her live-in boyfriend has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of domestic aggravated assault.
In exchange for 23-year-old Crystal Wettengel's guilty plea, prosecutors will ask that a judge sentence her to serve no more than 10 years in prison. A sentencing date was not immediately set.
Wettengel was accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the neck with a steak knife during an argument March 24 in their home.
