FARGO - U.S. Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp is calling on a super "PAC" to pull a television ad that she says is full of lies.
"Crossroads GPS" is spending about $160,000 on the buy. The spot proclaims that Heitkamp, as Attorney General, paid an out state lawyer for work on the tobacco settlement in exchange for campaign contributions.
Heitkamp says people need to know the truth.
"Crossroads GPS" is a political action committee run by republican strategist Karl Rove. Last week, the "PAC" changed a TV after complaints from the Heitkamp campaign. The latest commercial in question is scheduled to air into next week.
