Bond is set at $1.5 million for a Thief River Falls murder suspect. Jedidiah Troxel, 31, is accused of stabbing Kazmierczak, cutting her throat and leaving her body near the Red Lake River.
Troxel, of Crookston, is charged with second degree murder in the death of Tanya Kazmierczak of Thief River Falls. If he meets certain contains, Troxel could be released on $250,000 cash bond.
The 40-year-old woman's body was found near the Red Lake River Sunday, the day after both she and Troxel attended a party. Others at the party saw Kazmierczak and Troxel talking near his car early Saturday.
Investigators say a boot print found under the body of Kasmierczak matched the boots Troxel was wearing.
Troxel has a significant criminal history. He's already on probation for receiving stolen property.
