Becker County authorities are still trying to track down the boat and operator that struck another on the Fourth of July, seriously injuring a man. The accident happened on Big Cormorant Lake.
Sheriff Tim Gordon is hoping tips from the public will help find the person responsible.
"As people come down to their lake homes for the weekend, if they're talking to friends that may have been there on the Fourth of July, anything that was unusual in nature, bring it to our attention, we will check it out," said Gordon. "People understand that we want to find this boat because these people do not have a conscience of any sort. That's very apparent."
Terry Erickson suffered serious injuries from the accident and is hospitalized in the Twin Cities.
It is believed three adults were in the boat that took off.
The boat is either cream or white, with red or maroon stripes. The boat should have damage to its hull.
