Due to explosive growth, the building of a new elementary school in West Fargo may have to be fast-tracked.

Freedom Elementary just opened last week, and it's already filled to capacity. Several other new schools are planned, but Superintendent David Flowers says they weren't planning a new elementary school so soon.

The school board has started discussions on how to handle future growth. Enrollment projections indicate the West Fargo School District could see another large increase next school year.
