MOORHEAD, Minn. - Menards has sold a 20-acre parcel of land near its Moorhead store, but no word yet on who it's been sold to.
Mayor Mark Voxland says the city has been told it's been purchased by a big box retailer, but even the mayor doesn't know which one.
Voxland lists several possibilities, and says the city has also tried to convince Sam's Club. Moorhead wanted to lure Costco, but they decided to build in West Fargo instead. Voxland says the city expects to hear who the big box retailer is within the next few weeks.
KFGO News has left messages with Menards Corporate Headquarters in Eau Claire, Wis., but have not yet heard back from them.
