MOORHEAD, Minn. - A routine traffic stop led to a sizeable drug bust in Moorhead early this morning. Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist says a deputy pulled over a car in the 1200 Block of 11th Street South just before 2:30 a.m. because the driver had an expired license.

Bergquist says the deputy got a good whiff of marijuana.

The driver, identified as 19-year-old Jake Donahue of Moorhead, handed over a large bag of marijuana and a large amount of cash. Other drugs were also found, they are being tested.

Donahue is being held in the Clay County jail on drug possession and other charges.
