Two locked-out American Crystal Sugar union workers rode horses from Drayton, N.D. to Grafton, N.D. on their way to the next negotiating session with Crystal, June 8th in Moorhead.

Jack Teigen of East Grand Forks said he does not know what to expect from the session.

"They've came out, said that the final offer is the final offer," said Teigen. "That's not negotiating. As far as that goes, I don't know what the story is on that. I rejected the other one twice."

Teigen did not think the lockout would last 10 months.

Dave Wasylow also took part in the caravan. Wasylow, a mechanic who has put in 34 years at Crystal, said his biggest concern is seniority.

Wasylow said negotiating is both sides talking, not one. He expects the 1,300 locked-out union workers to hold fast unless something unexpected happens.
