Congressman Rick Berg says an advertisement put out by his senate opponent Heidi Heitkamp is false and should be taken down.

The radio ad says Goldmark Property Management is owned by Berg and follows poor business practices. It says Goldmark was cited for repeatedly ignoring fire safety codes after several fires on its properties.

Brandon Lorenz is a Heitkamp spokesperson. He says Berg listed Goldmark as an employee on federal documents.

Berg says he is involved with a completely separate company called Goldmark Schlossman Commercial Real Estate Services. He wants the ad pulled, but the Heitkamp campaign has no plans to do that.
