BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol says charges are pending against a Montana man in connection with the suspicious death of a Bismarck man.

Authorities say the 40-year-old Bismarck man was riding in a van the 42-year-old Montana man was driving. The van crashed and went in the ditch off Interstate 94 just east of Bismarck on Friday. Patrol Capt. Kyle Kirchmeier said the North Dakota man's death is suspicious because his injuries "didn't match the crash severity."

The patrol did not immediately identify the men. Authorities say the Bismarck man had recently moved from Georgia.
