A moose was found dead along the railroad tracks near NDSU yesterday; it didn't appear to be hit by a train or that it was shot.

FARGO - A moose was found dead along the railroad tracks near NDSU yesterday; it didn't appear to be hit by a train or that it was shot.

Police and North Dakota Game and Fish have been dealing with a moose since April that has gotten close to the interstate and residential areas.

Game and Fish Biologist Doug Leier says this is likely that same moose.

The large bull moose weighed at least 750 pounds. The remains will be analyzed to determine the cause of death.
