ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Democratic congressional candidate Tarryl Clark started July with nearly $260,000 to spend on an August 14th primary against two fellow Democrats in northeastern Minnesota's 8th District.

Clark's campaign said Thursday that she raised $232,000 from April through June and had $259,000 in the bank on June 30th.

Clark is expected to have the most to spend on the primary contest with former Rep. Rick Nolan and former Duluth City Councilor Jeff Anderson.

The primary winner will challenge U.S. Representative Chip Cravaack.

Clark moved to Duluth last year after losing to Republican U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann the year before in Minnesota's 6th District.

Clark has been running TV ads for four weeks.

Nolan and Anderson have yet to report their second-quarter fundraising numbers.
