MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Rick Nolan left Congress three decades ago and he's 68 years old, but he says he's never felt better prepared to go back.
Nolan is one of three Democrats who want to knock Republican Congressman Chip Cravaack out of office.
Nolan is stressing his deep roots on Minnesota's Iron Range.
And he says any concerns about his age have ''melted away'' as voters meet him in person.
Nolan has the party's endorsement, but he's in a deep hole in the money chase.
Former state Senator Tarryl Clark had 10 times more money in the bank at the end of March.
Nolan says he is stepping up his fundraising efforts after spending most of his early time in the race connecting with voters.
