Law officers held an emergency meeting in Grand Forks on Tuesday to discuss the growing popularity of synthetic drugs like Spice, K2 and Bath Salts.


Authorities are alarmed at a large quantity of the drugs on streets in the Grand Forks and Polk County area.


The U.S. Attorney’s Office says there have been multiple overdoses in the region, including two deaths that may be linked to the drugs.


Authorities urge parents and the public to be vigilant for any information about drug activity and to contact local law enforcement immediately if they see anything suspicious.
