Authorities in Grand Forks and eastern North Dakota are searching for a man involved in several hit-and-run crashes in Grand Forks, a car theft, and a high speed chase in which a shot was fired.

The man they are looking for is 31-year-old Juan Robles.

Police say it started Friday afternoon when they tried to stop what they considered a suspicious vehicle. The car took off and in the process rammed into three or four other vehicles. The car Robles was believed driving was later found abandoned.

Then Sunday, about 12:30 p.m., Grand Forks police got word of a stolen pick-up, and was recovered later.

When an officer approached it, police say Robles took off, hitting the officer with the mirror and dragging him a short distance. An officer fired at Robles--trying to stop him.

The stolen pick-up was later spotted in the Gardner area, but police have not yet been able to find Robles.

Anyone with information on Juan Robles is asked to call Grand Forks police.
