Convicted arsonist Tara Andvik was considered a suspect in the very early stages of an investigation into several fires on her property near Barnesville, Minn.

Court documents unsealed through an open records request from KFGO News indicate Andvik was providing detectives with inconsistent statements on the same day the investigation began.

The affidavits also mention Andvik was videotaping the barn fire and constant texting while firefighters were trying to put the fire out.

Andvik's father told investigators that Tara is constantly on Facebook, "almost to the point of being addicted."

In two of the affidavits, a Clay County judge granted permission to secretly track the Andvik's by placing GPS devices on their vehicles. Sheriff Bill Bergquist said this was the first time his department used GPS in a criminal investigation.

Andvik was convicted of three arson counts. Sentencing is scheduled for June 28th.
