Investigation Underway For Stolen Steers

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's office is investigating the theft of 27 steers from the Fergus Falls livestock market last week.

 

 

 

 

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's office is investigating the theft of 27 steers from the Fergus Falls livestock market last week.

The stolen steers are worth roughly $40,000.

The sheriff's department says it's possible someone had bought cattle at an auction and accidentally picked up the wrong herd. The stolen steers were unmarked and have no way of being tracked.

A few years ago the western part of the country had an increase in cattle rusting. That was blamed on the weak economy.
