American Crystal Union Workers Reach Out To Company President

There is new information in the on-going lock-out between American Crystal Sugar and its union workers.

 

 

 

 

There is new information in the on-going lock-out between American Crystal Sugar and its union workers.

The union is holding what it calls "a family meeting" in East Grand Forks and has invited Dave Berg, the company's president.

They ask that he come and describe the management's contract offer, explain why he thinks they should accept it and answer questions.

The meeting is planned for Saturday Aug. 18.

Some 1,300 union workers have been off the job at Crystal's plants for more than a year over contract disagreements.

Berg has not responded to the invitation.
