Severe weather passed through the northern end of the Red River Valley on Sunday night.
The Pembina County Sheriff's Department said it received several 911 calls from residents who reported a tornado touch down approximately a mile north of Drayton, near Interstate 29. There have been no reports of any damage.
The intense storm prompted a tornado warning as the system tracked east into Minnesota. A funnel cloud was reported west of Alvarado, Minn. by a trained spotter. The same storm produced three-quarter inch hail near Red Lake Falls, Minn. The storms prompted several tornado warnings.
