Moorhead Man Accused Of Hammer Assault

A Moorhead man is accused of using a hammer to hit a man on the head in Barnesville.

A Moorhead man is accused of using a hammer to hit a man on the head in Barnesville.


An arrest warrant has been issued for 23-year-old Duane Moberg.


Prosecutors say Moberg entered a home and used a hammer to smash two televisions and two windows before he assaulted the victim. When police arrived, the victim was holding a towel on his head to stop the bleeding.


Court documents say Moberg wanted to "get back" at the man for the theft of $200.


Moberg is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, terrorist-like threats and criminal damage to property.
