Minot State Names Head Men's Basketball Coach

Minot State University has named a new men's head basketball coach.

 

 

 

 

MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot State University has named a new men's head basketball coach.

Matt Murken has been the head coach at Jamestown College the past two seasons. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native compiled a 46-16 record at Jamestown and led the Jimmies to the NAIA Division II tournament last season.

Minot State is an NCAA Division II school. More than 80 people applied to succeed former coach Peter Stewart. Stewart resigned after two seasons.
