UND Men's Hoops Coach Signs Contract Extension

University of North Dakota men's basketball coach Brian Jones has signed a three-year contract extension, through the 2014-15 season.

 

 

 

 

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - University of North Dakota men's basketball coach Brian Jones has signed a three-year contract extension, through the 2014-15 season.

The deal also includes options that could keep Jones at the helm through the 2016-17 season. UND spokesman Jayson Hajdu says Jones' base salary is $86,364.

The sixth-year coach has guided the team to 36 wins over the past two seasons and back-to-back Great West Conference Tournament titles. UND begins play in the Big Sky Conference this coming season.

Jones' contract announcement comes a day after UND announced that head football coach Chris Mussman had signed an extension.
