Public Service Commissioner Kevin Cramer defeated the endorsed Republican U.S. House candidate, fellow commissioner Brian Kalk in the primary election on Tuesday.

Cramer is now setting his sights on the fall race against Democrat Pam Gulleson.

"The short term goal, of course, is to catch up on the fundraising side because I've had this race, and I've had the opportunity to raise a lot of money but also I've had the opportunity to spend it all winning this primary," said Cramer.

Federal Election Commission reports show Gulleson brought in more than $500,000 while Cramer raised $311,000 ahead of the primary.

Talking on KFGO's News & Views, Gulleson said she is looking forward to the campaign ahead.

"Now we can really clarify the issues," said Gulleson. "I think people will see there's a pretty significant difference between Kevin Cramer and I on the issues. That's what will be my work, to be able to talk about that as we travel around the state, make sure people understand what it means to vote for Pam Gulleson."

Gulleson sees the key issues as a Farm Bill and long term protection for Medicare and Social Security.

Cramer has run for Congress twice in the past.
