Fargo Students Uses Plant Knowledge To Plant Garden

Fourth graders at Bennett Elementary School in Fargo put their plant science knowledge to use when they joined PTA members and NDSU's Plant Sciences Department to plant a garden.

 

 

 

 

Fourth graders at Bennett Elementary School in Fargo put their plant science knowledge to use when they joined PTA members and NDSU's Plant Sciences Department to plant a garden.

Several NDSU students came to Bennett earlier this spring to teach about plants. About 200 tomatoes, peppers, corn, potatoes, onions, squash plants and seedlings were put into the ground.

A local 4-H group has agreed to maintain the garden each week over the summer.
