MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Soldiers who have sacrificed for their country are being honored at the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery south of Mandan.
This year's theme is "Educate America."
The keynote speaker is retired U.S. Air Force officer Larry Skogen, who is now the president of Bismarck State College.
The emcee is National Guard Capt. Ryan Kaufman, a history teacher at Bismarck Century High School.
Gov. Jack Dalrymple and members of the state's congressional delegation also are speaking, along with state Guard commander David Sprynczynatyk.
