Sioux Falls Becomes Official NCAA D-II School

The University of Sioux Falls has formally been accepted into the NCAA Division II ranks.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The University of Sioux Falls has formally been accepted into the NCAA Division II ranks.

Athletic Director Willie Sanchez says the school has received official word that it has successfully completed the three-year transition from the NAIA.

Most of the university's athletic programs will compete in the Northern Sun conference this coming season. The men's soccer team competes in the Great Northwest conference. All teams will be eligible for NCAA postseason play and awards.
