The day before the Belmont Stakes, I'll Have Another's Triple Crown dreams have been dashed.


CBS New York reports that The New York Racing Association has scheduled a press conference for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, presumably to announce I'll Have Another will not race in Saturday's Belmont Stakes.

"I'll Have Another is officially out of the Belmont," he said. "It's not tragic, but it's a huge disappointment."


The horse had "little problem with his left front leg" and the "start of some tendinitis," O'Neill said.


I'll Have Another was to race for the sport's first Triple Crown since Affirmed in 1978.
