FARGO, ND - KFGO AM has won nine awards of excellence from two broadcast organizations.
KFGO news and sports took top honors in several categories in the annual North Dakota Associated Press Broadcasters Assocation. The winners include spot or breaking news, newscast, sportscast, play-by-play and sports for Fargo Marathon coverage.
KFGO.com was also named best radio website by the AP.
In another competition sponsored by the North Dakota Broadcasters Assocation, KFGO best news reporting and best talk show for "News and Views" with Joel Heitkamp.
The awards will be presented at separate conventions next month in Fargo.
