FARGO, ND - The Corps of Engineers says only three of 14 flood control options for Fargo, ND, and Moorhead, MN, would be feasible.
The Corps is telling city, state and federal leaders in Moorhead the options are a diversion on the North Dakota side, a diversion on the Minnesota side, and a system of levees.
Those options will provide the most benefit at the least amount to the taxpayer. Public meetings will be held Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss the plans.
The first is tomorrow night (Tuesday) at the Townhouse Room at the Howard Johnson Inn in downtown Fargo. The second will be Wednesday at Hagen Hall at MSUM. Both start at 6pm.
