FARGO, ND - Area governing bodies are starting to line up in favor of a North Dakota diversion to control flooding in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
The Cass County Commission has voted unanimously in favor of a west side diversion. Commissioners say while the cost is higher and it would be more complicated to build, it would provide more flood protection.
A week ago, the Dilworth City Council went on record, opposing a Minnesota diversion channel that would cut off development in the community.
