Clinic Goes Through 225 of 500 H1N1 Vaccines

FARGO, ND — Fargo Cass Public Health (FCPH) held an H1N1 vaccination clinic for pregnant women, parents and caregivers of infants under the age of 6 months, and persons age 19 through 24 years with chronic medical conditions Monday at the Urban Plains Center in Fargo, ND. The clinic ran from 4 to 7p.m. and 225 out of 500 doses were given out.

Healthcare workers from Innovis Health, MeritCare, and providers of the Heartland Independent Network were on hand at the event. Fargo Police also assisted with security.

The Urban Plains Center donated the use of the facility and handed out discount coupons for tickets to Fargo Force hockey games.

There will be an H1N1 clinic on Tuesday, November 24th at the Family Service Center at 715 North 11th Street in Moorhead from 2-6 p.m. in room #2. The clinic will be for all children ages 6 months through 9 years; and parents and caregivers of children under 6 months. Both injectable and FluMist will be available.

There should be a wait of at least 28 days between the 1st and 2nd H1N1 doses for children ages 6 months through 9 years.

Fargo Cass Public Health will schedule another H1N1 vaccination clinic sometime after November 30th.
